Bombat/Bumbud is correctly called ''Institution for Drug Offenders''. Bumbud virtually means ''To remedy or cure''. It houses offenders both sentenced and unsentenced. It is very overcrowded, and must be a nightmare for drug addicts (who have to go cold turkey) and traffickers alike.
You can visit Bumbud prison, which is on the Lard Yao Campus.
